The villa - with Contemporary style - is located in a 3,000 m2 land area surrounded by 3 stories of townhouses and villas which required a deep massing study in order to avoid sunlight, and heat but still maintain the quality of living. According to the Client’s design brief with certain usable areas and rooms, we proposed an “L” shape building that mainly faces the north while minimizing the shorter elevation to the west, and arranged an all-around deep balcony that acts as a shading system. We maximized the pool area with the purpose of cold down the sun heat and taking its’ advantage of natural ventilation.
